Important Notice to Customers

    Some of you have already heard the news that TASCAM has ceased development of Gigastudio and related products, including the GVI engine upon which we have based our first two products. TASCAM says that they will continue to provide support through the end of the year. Unfortunately, this is in reference to operational support for users of Gigastudio and GVI, and does not include revision of the engine for developers.

    What this means for Wavelore Instruments and its customers is that, for the time being, we are without any programmers who can provide maintainence updates to the GVI software included with our products. However, it is our responsibility to provide support to you, and we trust that you are satisfied to date with our level of responsiveness. We will continue to be just as responsive.

    For those who wish to try our products before they buy, we have posted information on free product demos here. Please avail of this opportunity in order to ensure that our products are compatible with your system before buying. Also, please visit the support section of our website for important information and materials regarding compatibility.

    We appreciate your business, and respectfully request your patience and understanding during this difficult time. While we currently do not know what the fate of the Giga/GVI code is, we are pressuring TASCAM to release it as open source so that the developer community can continue to offer fixes and enhancements to the software. Please visit http://www.opengigastudio.com and make your voice heard. With a bit of luck, either some interested party will aquire the rights to this software, or TASCAM will allow it to live on by releasing it to the developer community.

    In case TASCAM does not choose to follow such a path, Wavelore instruments is currently working on porting its products to other sampling platforms so that we can continue to offer a high level of technical support. Existing Wavelore customers will be offered generous crossgrade offers to these new platforms. If we can't offer it to you for free, we'll make sure that improvements, additions, and enhancements to the instruments will be generous enough to make the small investment in an upgrade well worth your while.
