WLAZ Rag

(c) + (p) 2007, Mark Belbin

Based on a single chorus of rhythm changes, this short work demonstrates the American Zither's "Harpsi" patch, used here in its octave-coupled form to play in the style of a sloppy bar-room piano. The melodic style is reminiscent of ragtime music, and the sound used is a single patch with no processing other than a slight adjustment of the included body resonance, and a very slight envelope adjustment to soften the instrument's attack.
